The AC-MXNET-10G-SW48Q is a stackable, fixed-port managed switch designed by AVPro Edge for high-density 10G communication and seamless integration with the MXnet 10G ecosystem, representing the next step forward in the evolutionary path of the MXnet platform. AVPro Edge’s unique MXnet 10G platform offers the only SDVoE-enabled, hyper-optimised ecosystem of network-based managed switches, encoders and decoders guided from a centralised control unit via MXnet Mentor, our proprietary system utility management and engineering configuration software solution.
AVPro Edge is the first manufacturer of encoders and decoders to also manufacture preconfigured Plug-and-Play network switches for all AV-over-IP applications. Switch management, including VLAN, real-time bandwidth appropriation and POE power supply, is configurable through Mentor, along with comprehensive system diagnostics to quickly identify and illustrate port connections. Mentor also provides detailed multicast information.
On board the AC-MXNET-10G-SW48Q are forty-eight 1/10G SFP+ ports and six 40G QSFP+ uplink ports. Virtual Switch Framework (VF) virtualises multiple AC-MXNET-10G-SW48Q switches of the same layer into a logical device, providing high availability and scalability. The intelligent AV multicast processing engine developed by AVPro Edge allows a single AC-MXNET-10G-SW48Q switch to easily support seventy-two 10G SDVOE endpoints (using two 40G QSFP+ multi-connector cables, not included) or eight hundred 1G AV-over-IP endpoints.
The advanced physical architecture includes modular, 1+1 hot-swappable, integrated power supplies, as well as 4+1 hot-swappable redundant fans for cross-ventilation and adjustable airflow.
The AC-MXNET-10G-SW48Q has a maximum bandwidth of 240 Gbps, enabling connections for up to twenty-four AC-MXNET-10G-TCVR units operating in encoder mode. Up to seventy-two AC-MXNET-10G-TCVR units operating in endpoint/decoder mode can be connected.
